Created for the Museo d'Arte Mendrisio, Landscape #1 originates from the artist's exploration of horror vacui, an impulse to saturate space with a dense, evocative landscape. Through the contrast between fullness and emptiness, and the interplay of presence and absence, the installation creates a poetic, dreamlike vision suspended between reality and apparition.
