Benedetta Mori Ubaldini

Benedetta Mori Ubaldini was born in Kobe, Japan, in 1966. In 1991, she moved to London to pursue her studies in the arts. Since 2005, she has been living and working in Milan. Her work has been shown in major art and design institutions, including the Triennale di Milano, Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, the Museo d'Arte di Mendrisio, and Dongdaemun Plaza in Seoul. She was selected for Dynamo Camp art factory and Biennolo 2021. She currently collaborates with Galleria Rossana Orlandi in Milan and Themes and Variations gallery in London. Her creative practice is driven by a desire to inhabit large-scale spaces with a personal narrative and infused with an imagery that draws on childlike imagination. Throughout her work, the animal has remained a defining signifier of emotion: at times rendered directly, but more filtered through a dreamlike, symbolic language.
