During her residency at Kråkesløttet in the winter of 2020 Benedetta felt strongly moved by the depth, mystery and vastness of the North Atlantic. At night when the sea is black and opaque, you can feel its power reverberating through the old timbers; Alone in bed emotions can loom large and become fearful and overwhelming. The Fisherman’s Dream explores our fear of those things that dwell beyond our reach and comprehension and the pull of the Oceans tides on our emotions and subconscious.
